It means the same product has its own stock count in each store, and every movement, whether a sale, a delivery, a transfer or an adjustment, changes the count of one specific location.
That is what lets you answer the questions owners actually ask: where is the last bottle of that bourbon, which store is losing the most to breakage, and what does Harbor need on Thursday's order. Without it, a multi-store owner runs on phone calls between managers.
Handle plan: $119 per store per month. All plans.
Deliveries are received against the purchase order. Stock goes up in the receiving store only, at the cost on the invoice.
Every sale reduces the store where it was rung. A case sold takes 12 bottles off that store.
Sent from one store, in transit, received in another. Nothing is counted twice and nothing disappears.
Breakage, theft, expired or correction: a reason is required, so shrink is visible, not buried.
Count a section, compare to the system, approve the difference. Small weekly counts beat one painful annual count.
Online orders reserve stock in the pickup store, so the website never sells the last bottle twice.
FAQ
Each store is a location on one account. Every product has a stock figure per location; sales at a register reduce that store only. Moving bottles between stores is a stock transfer that takes them out of one location and adds them to the other, with a record of who sent, who received and when.
Yes. Use one central price book and override prices for a location when you need to, for example a higher price at an airport or tourist store.
Create a transfer from Store A to Store B, add products by scanning, and mark it sent. Stock leaves A straight away and arrives at B when it is received, so bottles in the van are never counted twice.
Yes. A stock adjustment needs a reason, such as breakage, theft, expired or count correction, so shrink reports show where the losses come from.
Count by aisle or category with a scanner or a phone, compare with the system, and approve the differences as an adjustment. You can count one section a week instead of closing for a full count.
Set an alert quantity per product and location. The low-stock report lists what is under it per store, ready to build the next purchase order.
Yes. Every inventory and sales report can show one store, a group of stores or all of them combined.
Only if you allow it. Staff roles can be limited to their own location.
Transfers between stores come with the Handle plan, priced per store. Single-store stock, counts and adjustments are on every plan.
The Handle plan covers transfers, a central price book and per-store reports. Try it free; add your second store when you are ready.
