Set up case units (Case = 12 bottles)

Create a case unit as a sub-unit of the bottle, give it its own price and barcode, and keep stock counted in bottles.

About 5 minutes · checked 2026-10-18

Case units let one product sell as a bottle or a case while stock stays in bottles.

Create the unit pair once

  1. Go to Products › Units.
  2. Make sure Bottle (or Can) exists as a base unit.
  3. Add Case as a sub-unit of Bottle with a multiplier of 12. Add others as needed: Six (6), Rack (30), Handle case (6), Sleeve (10).

Attach it to products

  1. On a product, set the unit to Bottle and enable the related unit Case.
  2. Enter the case price and scan the case barcode into the case unit.
  3. To apply to many products, use a unit column in your import file.

Check

Ring one case and one bottle, then open the stock report: the product drops by 13 bottles.
