Import products from a CSV or old POS export
Upload a CSV or Excel file, map columns to UPC, name, size, price, cost and category, fix errors in the preview, and import thousands of products.
About 20 minutes · checked 2026-10-18
You can import yourself, or send the file to us and we import it free.
Prepare the file
- One row per product (per bottle size). A case is a unit of the product, not a separate row.
- Columns we recognise: name, selling price, unit, UPC/EAN, category, sub-category, brand, size, cost, opening stock, image URL.
- Save as CSV (UTF-8) or XLSX. Keep batches to about 5,000 rows.
Import
- Go to Products › Import products.
- Upload the file and map each column to a field. Save the mapping for next time.
- Read the preview: it flags duplicate barcodes, missing prices and unknown categories by row.
- Fix the file or choose “create missing categories”, then Import.
- Scan three random bottles at the register to check.
Updating prices later
Re-import with UPC as the match key and only the columns you want to change, such as cost and price.
